Ayurveda is the sister Science to Yoga. It translates as the "wisdom of life" and offers knowledge on how to cultivate a healthy lifestyle that is in balance with your personal history and needs. Rather than focusing on symptoms, Ayurveda aims to understand the root cause of your current health and mental state. Using natural remedies like herbs, diet and exercise, the wisdom of Ayurveda can help clients to cultivate a lifestyle that is not only supportive, but vibrant and enjoyable. These individual sessions can be focused on Yoga, Ayurveda or both! Individual sessions offer you the opportunity to apply the wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda directly to your life in a way that is tailored to your specific needs.
For your first session plan for 60-90 minutes. Before your session you will also fill out a health history interview so that during our session we can have a thorough conversation about your current state and needs and have plenty of time to form a plan.
Ayurveda supports us to move with the cycles of time and nature. It can be very supportive to adjust practices on a seasonal basis and receive consultation 3-5 times a year. Subsequent sessions can be an hour or half an hour depending on your needs.
Making lifestyle changes and integrating new habits can take both time and support. For this reason I also offer Package Deals and encourage clients, especially those new to Ayurveda, to make a commitment to a minimum of 6 sessions. Clients can choose to spread there sessions out over a 4 month period or to meet once a week for 6 weeks- whatever works for your schedule.
